I have always insisted that John 117 and Doom are the same person. I mean, particularly because they share the same obvious name, "John". So, what really happened in my brain to claim such controversy? Well, the stories just click, I mean, think about it. If you have played Halo 4, you should already know that the Master Chief is a Forerunner, and he goes way back, and by that, I really mean thousands of years back. When the Master Chief and The Didact faced off for the first time, The Didact used power that John had never been a victim of. So what happened to the Master Chief then? The Didact was trying to use the composer on him, yet he was unable to. The Didact then discarded him away but at the same time split part of him. His soul, unseen, was then sent to another dimension when the Didact exploded his satellite while flying away from his imprisonment. Luckily for the Chief, Cortana helped him. When the explosion went off after the Didact manipulated the Master Chief, Cortana yelled, "slipspace rupture." At that time, something happened, a portal was created, and his unseen soul was sent to the other dimension in another timeframe, to the past. This happened so fast that Cortana was unable to sense the other John, one who would be known as the Doom marine. Remember the UAC? Well, they were working on Mars in 2145, which was 412 years prior the Halo 4 taking place in 2557. So what about Doom 1 and Doom 2? I mean, didn't those stories tell us anything? Well, the reason those games are pixelated is because Doom guy was having nightmares while he was in a coma, since he had been sent to the past when traveling through slipspace. Of course, they would send him to Mars, I mean, the UAC played him out really well. This time, they did not tell him he had been in a coma, because the UAC had no idea who he was. Doom guy just appeared out of nowhere from a portal, and since Mars had been experiencing all those paranormal activities, they opted to send him there because he had a marine suit when they found him. See how the story began for the Doom marine, and you come up with your own conclusions. Let the show begin. #doom #halo
