🚀 Sector Alpha v8.22: El Leviatán Arrives, The Graveyard Opens, and Your Arsenal Expands!

Sector Alpha’s latest updates bring a massive new boss, more ships to build, expanded equipment options, and new reasons to explore the outlaw sectors. Whether you’re flying solo or joining a multiplayer squad, there’s more to fight, collect, and prepare for. 🔥

🐉 El Leviatán has arrived on O-1. This enormous golden dragon brings 10 million hull points and 10 million shield points into battle. Give it five seconds without taking damage, and it begins recovering both at 10,000 points per second.

Its attacks combine fast flame projectiles with unpredictable spreads of larger dragon fire. Every five seconds, El Leviatán also unleashes five homing Flame Tornadoes simultaneously!

Each tornado has 20,000 hull and 20,000 shields. You can target and destroy them with your weapons, earning 20,000 credits, two regular missiles, two barrage missiles, and a chance at rare alien materials.

Defeating El Leviatán awards 5 million credits, ammunition, and randomly selected crafting materials. There’s also a chance to recover Bullet Cores, which Xal exchanges for Shield Cores at a 1:1 rate. The boss returns three minutes after being destroyed, ready for another challenge.

Officer Samantha

🏚️ The Graveyard is open for business. Available through the command-center docking menus on A-1 and A-8, this new human market features Officer Samantha, ship fabrication, human devices, equipment purchases, and a place to sell surplus gear.

Xal still only sells and fabricates. However, The Graveyard will purchase eligible devices crafted at Xal’s market for 110% of their fabrication credit cost. Human-crafted devices have a lower resale value, giving each market its own place in the economy.

The new Inventory menu helps you review owned equipment, stored extras, and crafted devices. Equipment beyond your ship’s fitting capacity can stay in storage for a future loadout.

🛸 Three new ships expand your hangar:

  • Interceptor: A fast pursuit craft available at The Graveyard for 10 million credits plus alien ingredients.

  • Guardian: A heavier gunship available at The Graveyard for 50 million credits plus alien ingredients.

  • The Conqueror: A reconstructed ancient warship crafted at Xal’s market for 1 billion credits plus alien ingredients, featuring 20 laser slots, 20 shield slots, and four-missile volleys.

The Graveyard also offers human technology for improving shields, laser firing speed, drone accuracy, missile damage, and hull strength.

🤖 Special escort drones bring more loadout choices. The Void Phantom Drone and Rift Behemoth Drone can be crafted at Xal’s market using rare ingredients and 1 billion credits each.

Each special drone has two equipment slots, supporting two lasers, two shields, or one of each. These escorts flank the ship on opposite sides, while standard drones retain their formation behind it. Standard drone ownership remains capped at eight.

Changing ships now clears fitted weapons, shields, devices, and drone equipment so you can build a fresh loadout. Your drones remain owned and deployed, ready to be fitted again.

👻 The void has become more dangerous. Void Phantoms and Rift Behemoths bring cloaking threats, visible names, hull bars, and shield bars. Their weapons remain visible even while their bodies are cloaked. Anti-Cloak EMP technology can reveal nearby threats—but discovering hidden equipment remains part of the adventure.

🌌 The outlaw sectors have a new atmosphere. Giant spectral Horsemen now roam above the backgrounds of O-1 through O-4, moving in different directions and fading in and out of view. Alien destruction effects also have a new explosion sound.

🎯 The latest weapon fix removes an outdated restriction that blocked missile barrages on outlaw and void maps. Barrage loading and repeated volleys were checked across all 20 maps, alongside regular missiles, ship lasers, and drone firing. Multiplayer checks also covered weapon commands, boss combat data, and shared rewards.

Sector Alpha is still growing, and your feedback helps shape every build. Jump in, test your loadout, and let us know how your fight against El Leviatán goes! 💬

Good hunting, pilots. 🚀
